Fifteen years of vocational ministry has changed a lot about the way I see God, leadership, people, success, and myself.
Some things I believed when I started ministry, I believe even more deeply today. Some things I had to unlearn. Some convictions were formed through success; others were forged through failure, disappointment, conflict, loss, healing, and simply staying faithful long enough to see what lasts.
I certainly don't have ministry figured out. Fifteen years has actually made me more aware of how much I still have to learn. But there are some things I have become deeply convinced are true.
These aren't thirty rules for successful ministry. They aren't formulas, and I'm not presenting them as Scripture. They're convictions—principles that have shaped the way I follow Jesus, lead people, steward vision, navigate relationships, and understand my calling.
So, after fifteen years in vocational ministry, here are thirty things I hold true. One post will be released each day in November 2026.
